Fallen White Laid To Rest

It`s not often I talk about none football related items here on Vital Leeds, but a post in the forum brought this to my attention.

Kirkstall White, a new member on Vital Leeds said: “As miserable as we Leeds fans are right now, this story puts things into perspective. Looks like the Whites have lost a true fan….”

The story it relates to, is the burial of Corporal Kris O’Neill yesterday. Cpl O’Neill, an avid Leeds United fan was killed when his Warrior APC was hit by a roadside bomb in Iraq earlier this month. Over 700 people turned out to say goodbye to Kris, who served as a Combat Medical Technician with the 34 Field Hospital. Flowers in tribute spelt out his name in the colours of his beloved Whites. A true supporter and one who gave his life fighting for his country, I just hope that the club can honour a fallen fan.

Rest In Peace
