Saturday’s Championship clash against Sheffield United had slightly more than Yorkshire bragging rights riding on it, and Leeds United did everything but get a shot on target and score.
Dominating possession as we do, the Blades more than rode their luck as we notched up chance after chance but the closest we could get to testing their goalkeeper was hitting the woodwork. Yet when they got their solitary break they were clinical and that was what sent the points there way.
With a deep sense of disappointment, there were positives from the showing and it doesn’t decide anything given the number of points left to fight for, but they do now have the slight advantage in the battle for the automatic spots.
Midfielder Mats Klich was clearly still hurting on Sunday morning following the game and he took to social media.
Not the way I wanted to wake up on Sunday but unfortunately thats part of the game. Football is being cruel and I can’t believe we lost that game. National team break and after we go again… https://t.co/RFBEnl7ahg

Plenty of players message the fans these days a few hours after kickoff, but the day after, clearly the emotions were still stewing. Just have to use it as motivation now.

The highlights say it all, all Leeds attacking goal the skill shown was all Leeds and the only 2 highlights was the goal and kiko getting a red. The result doesn’t justify you and the teams hard work – play like that for the last 8 and we’ll walk it. MOT enjoy the break ????????
