With us not having much to play for for the rest of this season, we’re seeing plenty of transfer rumours get thrown our way involving our club.
The Whites certainly need to bring in new players, too, after a campaign where we’ve seen a lot of performances that have been well below par.
For sure, many would say that we need a new striker to start with and, according to the Teesside Gazette, Ashley Fletcher is someone we’re apparently looking at.
The striker is not exactly prolific at the moment, though, so let’s take a look at some of the reaction to the news on Twitter:

Great another striker that doesn’t score – we have enough of those already

Desperate journalism for clicks. LINK LEEDS TO BARNSLEY LADS. It’s that or heck is desperately leaking names to seem relevant

The Verdict
I think Fletcher has the potential to be a good striker somewhere, despite his record in recent seasons, but I don’t think he should be joining us.
We are in real need of a proven Championship forward for next year and so I hope we don’t take yet another punt instead of acquiring one.
