Leeds United won for just the second time since Boxing Day as they completed the double over Bolton Wanderers at Elland Road.

Caleb Ekuban and Pablo Hernandez were on target for Leeds in the 2-1 win as they completed a first double over the trotters in 20-years.

Ekuban gave Leeds a perfect start. The Ghanaian striker scored his first goal in the Championship after just four minutes when he fired home through a crowd of players.

Hernandez doubled Leeds lead early in the second half with his seventh goal of the season. The Spaniard, who is out of contract in the summer, was quickest to react to prod the ball home after Ben Alnwick had parried an Ezgjan Alioski shot.

Bolton responded quickly when Adam Le Fondre headed home from a free-kick. The visitors had a couple of great chances to draw level soon afterwards. Sammy Ameobi fired just wide and Will Buckley could only divert his header wide of a post when unmarked at the back post.

Leeds had chances to wrap the game up with Ekuban twice being denied by Alnwick and Matthew Pennington heading over but the held on to record a first win in five games.
