Leeds United entered the September international break with disappointment following our 1-0 defeat to Swansea City at Elland Road, but with the break now in the rearview, we had the chance to make up for lost time as we made the trip on Sunday to Oakwell to face Barnsley.
Again, it was a game that we largely dominated when it came to possession and chances. We even managed to get seven efforts on target from our 21 chances overall, but it seemed destined to end in a scoreless draw until we got inside of the final ten minutes of the game.
Substitute Eddie Nketiah did the calls for him to get more starts no harm at all as he scored with six minutes remaining, and former Academy graduate Aapo Halme helped us on our way to the second on the day, as he fouled our on loan Arsenal striker to give Mats Klich the chance to make it 2-0 in the 89th minute.
2-0, back to winning ways and back to the top of the table on goal difference.
