Leeds United returned to winning ways on Saturday by defeating Bristol City 2-0 at Elland Road, which ensured the Peacocks remained in third position in the Championship table.
It was far from a comfortable win for Marcelo Bielsa’s side, who only took the lead in the second half through Kemar Roofe after the visitors were reduced to ten men as midfielder Josh Brownhill was dismissed for a second bookable offence.
Pablo Hernandez then sealed the win in the last few minutes, heading home a cross from substitute Samuel Saiz, capping off a fine victory for the hosts – but Bristol City manager Lee Johnson suggested the result was not deserved.
Speaking after the game, he claimed that Leeds were lucky and suggested that the referee’s decision to send off Brownhill was influenced by the supporters at Elland Road – which led to plenty of responses from Leeds fans on social media.
We have gathered some of their reactions below.

Sounds like a manager scared for his job here. Trying to push his loss on ‘luck’, they had one shot on target the whole game – Huffer and Halme thrown in at the deep end and were never really troubled. #LUFC #BCFC

That’s the sort of comment a manager under pressure makes
