Joe Wainman “We are going down under the tutelage of this manager”

|

Leeds United lost out narrowly to Nottingham Forest this afternoon and Joe Wainman has spoken about the encounter, on his youtube channel the JustJoe Football Show.

The Whites have suffered a major setback to their survival hopes and remain desperately close to the relegation zone. Only avoiding the bottom three on goal difference, racking up just two Premier League wins in the last 17 and only four wins all season.

Calls for Jesse Marsch to be sacked have gotten louder and louder in recent weeks and many feel the American is taking the club only one way, back to the Championship. It looks unlikely the hierarchy will react and relieve him of his duties any time soon, after massively investing in the squad and giving him their backing throughout this terrible run of results for the West Yorkshire club.

Leeds fan and youtube channel host Joe Wainman said, “I’ve seen clips of Jesse being booed, it’s time to go, you know I’ve been saying this for a long time.”

“Where are the points coming from? We are now as it stands one of the worst three teams in the Premier League. We are. Everton will stay up, Southampton will be down there, Bournemouth will be down there, then it’s us. I think it might be us folks and that pains me to say it.”

“We need our Premier League status, this manager is not gonna give us it, he’s been given all the tools. Do you have confidence that we won’t just see a repeat of this? This is Villa all over again, this is other games all over again.”

“We’ve won two games in 17 in the league, we are going down under the tutelage of this manager. We are going down and the club need to recognize that, the club need to recognize that with Jessie at the helm Leeds United will go down.”

Leeds now travel to Manchester United on Wednesday before hosting their fierce rivals at Elland Road on Sunday. A tough trip to a resurgent Everton under new manager Sean Dyche and then a home game against Southampton follows before the fifth-round FA Cup tie against either Fulham or Sunderland.

Worrying times for Jesse Marsch who despite being backed by the board in recent weeks must surely be on borrowed time. What are your thoughts? let us know in the comments.

Why have we left it so long? Marsch has never been up to the task. Our results are not good enough and haven’t been since September. Remember we got 8 points from our first 3 games and 9 from our first 5. That’s 9 points from our last 15 games. The board need to act fast before we fall off a cliff… it will only get worse. Marsch is a nice guy but all he does is talk a good game, he is not a premier league manager and never was!

I don’t think the board can afford to get rid of him. Invested the best part of £200m in his philosophy and style and they won’t ever admit they’re wrong.

  • Patriciabettison says:

We need to be prepared to go back into the championship if the board don’t do something soon. It’s just not good enough!!!
It’s not the players, it’s the manager, his style and tactics.

What are we doing with this useless American manager and all his American players? The American football league is about the standard of our League One. It’s where players like Beckham, Rooney and Klich go to teach them how football should be played when they get too old for our leagues.

  • Richard Armitage says:

I really wanted Marsch to do well today but after this shambilic display of tactics and player mangement he now needs to GO, ENOUGH IS A ENOUGH, we’ve gave him 1 year, £140 million and 15 new players and backroom staff, Harry Potter could do a better job “Leeds Utd Wingardium Leviosa ” would be better tactics than Marsch’s…I’m so angry, we’ve not won a single league game in 2023, with win’s only coming against Accrington and Cardiff in the F.A.Cup and there both at the bottom of their respective leagues. Are last league win was on the 5th of November against Bournemouth tha’s eleven weeks ago and that’s just not good enough to stay up IT’S A JOKE ….SADLY IT’S TIME FOR MARSCH TO GO…
