Leeds United chairman and owner Andrea Radrizzani held an interesting interview earlier this week and he covered a variety of topics, from manager Marcelo Bielsa’s future, down to Financial Fair Play and other sides unfairly taking the option to offset debt with loophole stadium deals.

On the issue of Argentine gaffer Bielsa, he told Talksport.

A decisive few days certainly set tongues wagging amongst the fanbase and with the option there for us to take up if we want, there’s no strict contract to negotiate so it’s an educated guess to say that we’ve put the ball in Bielsa’s court after the 2018/19 campaign and will only obligate him to stay if he’s happy to.

How much of that hinges on the transfer budget for the summer is open to debate, but there have already been stories (as covered) that he’s planned further training ground changes ahead of next season and we are working on those at the moment – but until the ink is dry on the deal, there’s naturally going to be concern.
