With a second loss of the 2018/19 Championship campaign for Leeds United last Saturday in the match against Blackburn Rovers, a number of fans are hoping manager Marcelo Bielsa learns from his self-admitted mistakes when it came to selections for that match, and goes in a completely different direction for the tie on Wednesday evening against Ipswich Town.
We welcome the Tractor Boys to Elland Road for the midweek encounter and the aim for the evening will be incredibly simple given the frustration and dare I say, concern, within the fanbase after the last result given the overall performance that was put in – get the win and get the three points to prove it was the proverbial bad day at the office.
Fans do have some selection requests themselves though for the gaffer to show he has learned from the mistakes he admitted he made at fullback, namely plenty want Ezgjan Alioski to drop back to left-back whilst Barry Douglas remains out with injury and given his cameo appearance on Saturday, they want Jack Clarke factored into the left-wing role.
Clarke was superb when he came on yesterday… please start him Wednesday ???? #lufc

I’m sooo hopefull that jack Clarke gets a start on Wednesday. He was one of our best players when he came on in a game that wasn’t going our way, he scared defenders and looked dangerous.
I think starting a game, he could do so,e real damage, especially against Ipswich.#LUFC

Until Douglas is fit I would like to see Alioski dropped back to left wing back and Clarke on the left wing. #lufc

I think he should start , offers so much more than Dallas , I'd go with Clarke on the left and Alioski wing back #Lufc https://t.co/VVmloihHsm

Top player. Love how direct he is. Doesn't turn back. He is straight right come on let's have it. Like to see direct play and he cut through them too.

First thing Jack Clarke did when he came on – run at his man and went passed him….. Alioski could learn a thing or two. #LUFC

Clarke should get a start based on that performance. Forced multiple corners, tested their keeper and made defenders back off when attacking. Produced more in 20 minutes than Alioski did all game. Berardi should start at RB with Pearce at LB and Clarke LW #lufc

The 17-year-old keeps going from strength to strength the more people see of him and it’s not a bad shout as that youthful energy can count for a lot when a team looks to get over a dip.
