With confirmation that Leeds United have struck agreement with Spanish La Liga side Getafe over a second half of the season loan spell for Samu Saiz, the player himself has now sent a classy message to the fans.
Although the 27-year-old doesn’t elaborate on details or the speculation, he did make a massive point of thanking his colleagues, the staff and the fans – as well as picking out Victor Orta and manager Marcelo Bielsa for their ‘understanding’ of the situation – as he took to social media yesterday.
Excited to be going home to Spain, but massive thank you to my teammates, staff and fans @LUFC who always treated me well. Special thank you to Victor and Marcelo for being understanding. I hope the club gets back to where it belongs this season #LUFC #MOT https://t.co/GSMI19IPkz

Having come in from Huesca back in the summer of 2017, Saiz now heads back home with 58 appearances to his name and a return of ten goals. There is talk of a £6million permanent clause come the summer, so the expectation is we won’t really see him again, but who knows what the future holds.
All the best Samu ????????????????
