With yesterday’s departure of Jose Mourinho from Manchester United as the ‘Special One’ struggled to achieve anything other than winding up his home supporters and players in the campaign of 2018/19, it didn’t take long for some outlets to suggest that Leeds United manager Marcelo Bielsa ‘could’ be on the Red Devil’s shortlist.
With a lively rivalry between both clubs stretching back in our history, United’s struggles of late have been a source of fun for the Elland Road faithful and Bielsa being linked with the job is just par for the course now given the speedy impact he’s had on us and his general standing in the game.
Whether exaggerated or not, there were some fans who took the time to point out they could keep their mitts off our gaffer as they now search for a new man whilst others were more happy to point out United didn’t have a chance of getting him even if they were interested.
Plenty were more interested in pointing and laughing.
@andrearadri You're getting games SOLD OUT regularly. We're top of the league. Don't let Bielsa go to ManU or anywhere else. You'll kill everything you've achieved instantly. #lufc

A message to #mufc and their board, KEEP YOUR EYES AND MITTS OFF BIELSA, HE’S OURS. He does work miracles, but even that is beyond him. ????⚽️????#lufc

They’ve ruined what Fergie built and it’s brilliant.

Allerdyce would be a good fit for Manchester United.. Great record with lower to mid table sides from the North West.. Did a great job at that level with Bolton and Blackburn. #mourinho #MourinhoOut
