On-loan Chelsea starlet Izzy Brown finally has something to celebrate following his return from a lengthy spell on the sidelines in our most recent Under 23 clash.

The 21-year-old made a first return to the pitch in almost ten months in the match against Birmingham City last Friday and he got a solid 45 minutes under his belt as he builds his fitness and continues his rehabilitation.

Having not been expected to return until the New Year, the fact he’s ahead of schedule is a massive bonus for manager Marcelo Bielsa as we look towards the second half of the campaign and potentially January strengthening.

Brown’s interview as covered by Leeds Live can be read in full by clicking that link.

The positives are after his first 45 minutes he’s suffered no ill effects from his run out and he confirms that on Monday he’s looking to get 90 minutes under his belt and if all goes to plan, he’s hoping to come into first-team contention and possibly be in with a shout for the away game at Bramall Lane at the beginning of December.

Seeing him on the bench would definitely be a lift for plenty of fans.
