Leeds United suffered a hefty 4-1 defeat at the hands of West Brom prior to the international break and need all the help they can get to bounce back.
Marcelo Bielsa’s squad has been ravaged by injury, with the most recent setback seeing Chelsea loanee Jamal Blackman return to the Premier League side prematurely after breaking his leg last week.
However, there is some good news for supporters at Elland Road as it appears they could be seeing another Blues-owned player earlier than they would have perhaps expected – as Izzy Brown edges closer to a return.
Brown made a significant step on his road to recovery last week by featuring for Leeds’ U23 side, his first game for 15 months, and the 21-year-old has revealed he will play a full 90 minutes for the U23 side and hopes to be available for the first team next week.
That has left many surprised and we have gathered some of their responses below.
Carefully though. U23s seems to have a knack of knackering our players.
