Loads of Leeds supporters have been reacting on social media after Yorkshire Evening Post journalist Phil Hay claimed United are keen to bring Jack Harrison back to Elland Road.
The £51,000-a-week winger spent the last year with the Whites on loan, but has now returned to Manchester City, where he is unlikely to be offered a spot in Pep Guardiola’s first-team.
There had been reports that the Citizens would consider selling the 22-year-old this summer, as well, but their asking price of between £15m and £20million is thought to have priced United out of a deal.
Hay, though, feels the club are still interested in re-signing the winger, and will look to bring the former England U21 international back to Elland Road on another loan deal.
Harrison may not be the only Premier League player brought to the club on loan this summer either, as the YEP reporter also suggested Andrea Radrizzani will be looking to go heavy in the temporary top-flight market, to which boss Marcelo Bielsa seems to be okay with.
During his loan deal, Harrison made 42 appearances for United across all competitions, and was involved in eight goals (four scored, four assisted) including Kemar Roofe’s Play-Off Semi-Final strike at Derby.
The 5 ft 7 winger also averaged 20.6 passes a game for us, with 72.9% of those finding a teammate.
Supporters, though, are split over whether they would like to see the Stoke-on-Trent-born wide man return to West Yorkshire for another year…
But wanted to replace him in jan?

If Bielsa wants him then that’s fine. He should get the players he wants and we should trust him. I’m cool with this.

Not many have touched on that but many failed loan players are failures because it’s one season. Not saying I wouldn’t mind somebody else coming in, but he has the advantage it would be a 2nd season.

Think he’s great personally

I’ve nothing against Harrison he can only get better with MB

Can see his potential, needs a bit more confidence & work on his crossing, hits the 1st man far too often. We could do a lot worse, he’s had a season under MB & will only improve.

I would rather sign Patrick Roberts

Surely there’s better options out there ie. a winger who can actually beat a man and cross the ball? #lufc

Oh there’s the rain on the parade there is better loans out there he wasn’t consistent enough didn’t assist nor score enough not for my liking

Part of our poor left side which cost us last season, simply not good enough,we should be aiming for better than him #lufc
