‘Finally owners who actually ‘get it’ – Many Leeds fans have reacted on Twitter to latest announcement

Leeds United have delighted fans on social media with the news that season tickets prices have been frozen, no matter what division the club will be in next term.

It will be the eighth consecutive campaign that Leeds have frozen season ticket prices, and comes at a time the club is preparing to celebrate it’s centenary year with the possibility of Premier League football again.

Anyone wishing to get their hands on a season ticket for next season will have to be a current season ticket holder or hope not everyone renews, however, as the announcement confirmed that due to having in excess of 22,500 active holders, they would not be awarding any more.

Any Whites supporter aged between 16 and 18, though, will benefit from the creation of a new price bracket, thanks to consultation between the club and fan groups aimed at making football more affordable for the fanbase.

Chief Executive Angus Kinnear said: “Our fans have shown unwavering support again this year with Elland Road boasting the highest average attendance in the Football League and we feel it is only right that we take this opportunity to reward their loyalty.”

Renewals will open on February 19, but fans have already been sharing their joy at the news on social media…
