Loads of Leeds United fans have been rejoicing on social media, after the Daily Mail claimed the club have struck a lucrative kit deal with German sportswear giants Adidas.
As of the start of next season, United will be adorned in kits featuring the famous three stripes for the first time in our 100-year history and will move away from our current sportswear partner Kappa.
The Italian brand have produced our strips since 2015, but our contract with the Turin-based company expires in the summer and the club have chosen to look elsewhere for our next supplier.
Adidas will take over responsibilities for designing and producing our kits regardless of what division we are playing in next season, though the value of the deal will depend on whether or not Marcelo Bielsa can guide us into the Premier League.
Demand for replica Whites strips is among the best in the country despite our current second-tier standing, and represents a lucrative option for anyone to tap into.
Are you excited by Adidas supplying our kits?
Yes
No
United may also be striking further kit deals in the near future, with it claimed the club are also likely to consider a new front-of-shirt sponsor if we do move up to the top-flight, even though our deal with 32Red has another year to run.
Leeds face Millwall next Tuesday still within a point of league-leaders West Bromwich Albion, after the Baggies were beaten at home by Stoke City on Monday night.
Here are some of the messages shared as fans reacted to the Daily Mail’s claim of a major kit deal being struck with Adidas…

Fair play Radz, probably his best bit of business yet. They should be able to keep up with demand as well. Revenue will be so much better when the kits aren’t out of stock for half the season.

In other Leeds United news, the club have once again been knocked back in our pursuits of a potential Eddie Nketiah replacement.
