Loads of Leeds United fans have been reacting on social media after LUFC Data noted that Luke Ayling is the most-fouled Whites player in the Championship this season.

Referees have awarded free-kicks to United on 56 occasions so far this term as a result of tackles committed against Ayling, with the 28-year-old’s record stretched further on Saturday as a result of the London-born right-back being fouled once at the KCOM Stadium.

A handful of players were fouled on more occasions than Ayling was against Hull at the weekend, no more so than Jack Harrison who Sofa Score noted was fouled three times.

Harrison ranks third among the United first-team for times fouled in the league this term with 44, ten behind Stuart Dallas (54) with the Northern Ireland international a close second to Ayling.

Is Ayling clever in winning so many free-kicks?

Ayling’s record is also enough to rank 14th among all Championship players in 2019/20, with West Brom’s Matheus Pereira the most-fouled (87) ahead of QPR’s Eberechi Eze (86) and Swansea’s Andre Ayew (74).

Here are some of the messages shared as fans reacted to LUFC Data’s post, highlighting that Ayling is the most-fouled Leeds player this league season…

In other Leeds United news, a key Whites ace has been backed to make the step up to the Premier League this summer – even if it is without United.
