Leeds Word On The Tweet

‘Exciting times ahead’, Time to push on’ – Lots of Leeds fans react to player update

|

Leeds have announced that academy star Clarke Oduor has agreed to a contract extension, and these fans could not be happier.

Oduor’s previous deal with the Whites was set to expire at the end of the current season, but he will now remain available for Marcelo Bielsa until the summer of 2020, with an option for a further year.

Admittedly, the Argentine has only called on his youth ace once so far, when Oduor made his senior debut against Queens Park Rangers in the FA Cup, but the right-winger has played a leading role in the U23s’ rise to the top of the Professional Development League north division, who are currently four points clear of Burnley.

Speaking on his new deal, the 19-year-old noted: “After making my debut in January and now getting this done, I am over the moon.

“It has been a tough journey, but I feel like I have come a long way over the years.”

The journey does not stop here, though, and these fans are already looking forward to seeing the Kenyan playing for the first-team again, and hopefully for more than three minutes…
