Conor McGilligan has been speaking on his YouTube channel, The One Leeds Fan Channel and he thinks it may be time for Jesse Marsch to be shown the door.

Leeds United lost out to Aston Villa last night, their ninth loss in the Premier League this season and now remain winless since the start of November. With only four wins so far, it really does make you wonder where the next win will come from. Don’t get me wrong, the performance was decent last night, but decent performances don’t achieve points in this division. You have to be on top of your game, every game and at the moment, Leeds aren’t anywhere near it.

Brentford are next up in the league and if the result goes in the same way as it did in the reverse fixture, there will be some serious questions raised about Jesse Marsch’s future.

In all honestly, the fanbase is split on whether Marsch should be sacked. Many don’t see an improvement from last season, even though the squad has been greatly improved. Most feel the problem is the tactics, and of course, individual errors and mistakes will always cost you in the Premier League. Is it just a simple fact, that some of our players are just not good enough? You could certainly argue that point for the defensive side of the team, but our attacking threat is definitely worthy of a top-half finish in the division, especially with the arrivals of Luis Sinisterra and Willy Gnonto.

Conor McGilligan said, “I think it’s time for Jesse to move on. I don’t see this getting any better. I think it’s Titanic settings. It’s Leeds heading for an iceberg and sinking, sinking lower and lower and lower, to be honest with you. I called out Marcelo Bielsa in around about November, obviously, he was sacked in the February and I said look, his position, he’s going to take Leeds United down I thoroughly believe that, now Jesse Marsh is going to take this Leeds United side down in my opinion, got called deluded not long ago for essentially saying that two wins in 15, or whatever it was at the time, it was not good enough, that is not good enough, it’s a sackable offence, It’d be sackable in any division, in any domestic league, in any domestic competition.”

“However, some people are really giving him credit. Now I don’t understand where the credit is with Jesse March, I really don’t. This youngster thing. I’ve seen several times that apparently we should be trusting the process, I don’t know what process this is, I think maybe people just delve in a little bit too much into the Arsenal, Arteta stuff from my side of it, we’re not in the same position as Arsenal and Arteta and because the likelihood is, if this continues Leeds United are going to be in the bottom three and consequently relegated from the Premier League. That is not a process that I want to be involved in. I want to stay in the Premier League, it took long enough for us to get here and I cannot get my head around some fans who just seem to think that whatever happens, they want to be involved in a process, we can lose to Brentford we can lose to Forest as long as the performances are okay, doesn’t matter about the results.”

“Unfortunately, quantitatively, numerically where you are in the division is a big issue. Now, Jesse Marsch, yesterday came out after a good performance at Aston Villa, one of the better ones of the season, even though we still lost the game and said that if performances continue like that, he doesn’t mind a few losses. Well, Jesse, unfortunately when in your next five games, you have Everton and you have the likes of Brentford coming up, you need to win those games, those games at the start of the season where we had an incredible calendar an incredible start to the season and we didn’t win enough of those games and we find ourselves in this position because of those games, that is a problem because you need to beat the teams in and around you.”

“The problem is with this Leeds United side at the minute, the problem is, with the tactic that we have going on at the minute. The same things repeat themselves, don’t they? Continuously Leeds concede two goals. Two goals, we’re above two goals average now every single game, that’s not developed from last season. Leeds’ numerical value in the league like I say 14th in the division or 15th whatever it is, we could be in the bottom three by the end of today, by the end of this week. There is a serious likelihood Leeds are going to be in the bottom three, that is not an improvement with the amount of money we’ve spent.”

Totally agree with everything you said, been saying this for awhile now only to be put down by some leeds fans because they think by getting to where we are in the league is progress, fighting relegation is good enough for them as long as we are safe?

I cannot disagree. I’m not sold on the new faces yet, but time will tell. For me. there has been an obsession with forwards and disregard for our defence. Our back four (excluding Wober) have been dire.

There is no Premier League experience at a time where it could prove vital.

This is a pivotal period now and if we want to bed in a new manager, now is the time.

So much truth we need to react and adapt before the elevator goes down I am trying to make a difference so keep stressing you viewpoints as the ownership may get on board
