Leeds United will look to end an unforgettable season on yet another high on Wednesday night, as they host Charlton Athletic at Elland Road.
Having already secured promotion to the Premier League as champions of the Championship this season, there is little left for the Whites to play for this season, other than momentum going into the new campaign.
By contrast, Charlton are still battling to avoid relegation from the Championship this season, and go into this final game of the season only outside the relegation zone on goal difference.
Speaking ahead of the game, Leeds manager Marcelo Bielsa said he would name a strong side for the match in order to protect the integrity of the competition, and he has done just that, with Illan Meslier, Luke Ayling, Liam Cooper, Mateusz Klich, Jack Harrison and Patrick Bamford all returning to the starting lineup after sitting out Sunday’s win at Derby, while Kiko Casilla is absent from the matchday squad completely.
