With a number of Leeds United fans already calling for midfielder Adam Forshaw to return this Friday as we take on Sheffield Wednesday at Hillsborough, manager Marcelo Bielsa has confirmed that he is ‘ready to play’ and again described him as our ‘best player’ during the pre-season warm-up campaign.
Despite being sidetracked in the early months of 2018/19 the 26-year-old has been back in training for a while rebuilding his fitness, and he has made three substitute appearances this month as he got match minutes under his belt to bring him on further.
Fans have already made their thoughts clear that he should be in the squad this week to sit on Barry Bannan given the threat he poses for the hosts, and it looks like he could do just that at some point as Bielsa met with the media to discuss the game.

Yorkshire Evening Post journalist Phil Hay tweeted.
Bielsa on Forshaw, and whether he's ready for a more prominent role: "Adam is a player who's ready to play. Before getting injured he was the best player in the team but that was because he had six pre-season games to get fit. He has not played for a month-and-half." #lufc

Bielsa did say though.
Bielsa straight up on his team for Hillsborough: "I won't change any player." #lufc

That obviously got gans talking about Ezgjan Alioski, but in terms of Forshaw – it depends how clever the boss is being as given what I’ve read, he doesn’t make a distinction between starting XI or matchday squad.
