Leeds United get midweek off following our previous EFL Cup defeat so all our energies can go into Friday’s tie with Sheffield Wednesday as we look to get back to winning ways after our unbeaten run in the Championship campaign of 2018/19 camp to an end against former gaffer Garry Monk and Birmingham City.
With Wednesday’s Barry Bannan a huge and influential player for them, fans on social media believe that manager Marcelo Bielsa should recall Adam Forshaw to basically sit on the 28-year-old Scottish international for 90 minutes to nullify his threat and allow our lads to do their thing as we go in search of all three points.
Having worked his way back from injury, Forshaw only had 18 minutes under his belt ahead of coming on for Mats Klich just after the hour mark against Birmingham and plenty were impressed and feel he should get a second shot this week.
Agree forshaw in for this one

I'd go forsh and KP..
Sounds harsh on klitch especially with the start he's add but the game will be won if we can dominte the midfield, they play old fashioned I like to call it Wendy's but they'll deffo be up for it.
Defence as to be a strong unit aswell.

Forshaw and Dallas to start Friday for Phillips and Alioski imo #lufc

What player should come in for Wednesday? Personally would like to see Forshaw but not sure who comes out. Dallas was bright off the bench but is he just a good impact player? ???? #Lufc

I’d keep Phillips in personally

Phillips has been instrumental for leeds' success. For me he is tge most important player on the pitch. Phillips wasnt playing bad he just needed to change the formation. Bielsa said it was a mistake. We didnt win balls when he came off.

I’m sure Marcelo will get the right response for Friday & may see Forshaw & Dallas start in place of Alioski & Phillips. Hope Pablo back soon as so much depends on Saiz to create #life

Its good to have competition in the midfield' with injuries and suspensions we will have a descent midfield each week, do agree forshaw is an excellent player its all down to how he wants to play against his oposition and who he feels will do a better job- still think baker is ok

I can certainly see the sense in the calls as we all know what Forshaw can do and the 26-year-old’s experience could be key in ensuring the game turns in our favour.
