The first of many through the door, or just the final piece of the puzzle?
With it being transfer deadline day, you never quite know what is going to be around the corner, but according to reports, we do know one thing that’s going to be. Having been without Jack Harrison on Saturday against Manchester City, someone who’s going to be very important to our style of play this year, we’re making sure that the quality doesn’t dip too much when and if we’re without him again.
Nothing against Gjanni Alioski, but his performance at Elland Road just wasn’t quite up there with what you’d expect someone like Harrison to produce.
So on that note, it appears as though we’ve turned our eyes to Rennes’ 23-year-old Brazilian midfielder Raphinha. Adam Pope broke the story yesterday, noting that “Leeds head coach Marcelo Bielsa wants another wide player to add to Manchester City loanee Jack Harrison, Helder Costa, Ian Poveda and Ezgjan Alioski.”
And according to Phil Hay, it looks as if the deal is on the verge of being completed:
Deadline day – all eyes on Raphinha deal. Should move quickly this morning. He landed in England late last night. Agreement in place with Rennes. #lufc

Who would you rather have in the team?
Ralphinha
Alioski
Now as always, on deadline day nothing is ever truly confirmed until everything has been completed, just look at the Dan James scenario, but it looks like we’re on the verge of bringing in another reinforcement.
What about you? What do you make of this news regarding Raphinha?
