£3.15m-rated Leeds ace hints at Whites future in glowing praise of Bielsa’s work

Jack Harrison is coming toward the end of his time at Elland Road, or is he? The on-loan Manchester City ace may have just hinted that he will still be wearing White next year, in quotes reported by the Yorkshire Evening Post.

The 22-year-old’s deal with Leeds officially comes to an end on May 31, but in his glowing praise of the work instilled by Marcelo Bielsa, Harrison may have dropped a suggestion that he would be open to plying his trade in West Yorkshire next season if we are in the Premier League.

At present, we stand a great chance of securing top-flight football for our centenary campaign, as Sheffield United let slip their advantage against Birmingham and then Millwall held the Blades to a point, all the while we edged our way past Sheffield Wednesday.

Now, we are preparing to face relegation-threatened Wigan at home on Good Friday, and will know if Sheffield United were able to beat Nottingham Forest ahead of kick-off – opening the door to be two games clear heading into Easter.

What’s helped to get us this far is the style of football that Bielsa brought with him for his maiden English campaign, which Harrison thinks is unique for a Championship side.

“You see the style of play that we have and it’s not like the rest of the Championship teams,” the £3.15million-rated midfielder said.

“It would be interesting to see the style of play if we can continue that in the Premier League, as the standard is that much better and that much higher.

“I’m not exactly sure, but it’s exciting with the history of the club, and I think we deserve to be there and I know the fans would like that a lot. It’s something special and a great opportunity that we have in front of us.”
