Leeds United are expected to be one of the busiest participants in the transfer window, as they look to realise their Premier League aspirations. Marcelo Bielsa is also regarded for identifying talents, with specific skill sets, and a player that could be compatible with the Argentine’s expressive style of play is Newcastle United’s Yasin Ben El-Mhanni.

As the Daily Mail reports, Leeds United are one of a whole host of clubs who are interested in signing Newcastle United’s talented winger, Yasin Ben El-Mhanni. The Englishman has only made two senior appearances for the Magpies, both of which came in the FA Cup.

Before joining Newcastle, the 22-year-old had a trial with Chelsea and scored on his debut for their reserve team – which is further evidence of his quality and promise.

That said, El-Mhanni struggled to impose himself on Newcastle United’s under-23 team last season, as he failed to score in 12 appearances for the Toon.

Although, it’s worth considering that the promising winger had issues with the under-23’s manager at Newcastle, and it’s conceivable to suggest that he requires a new club, and a fresh opportunity to kickstart his career.

The forward can operate as a winger on either side of the pitch, and he can function confidently in a more central role as an attacking midfielder. The fact that Wolves and Sporting Lisbon are interested in his services is indicative of his quality and potential, but the Englishman requires first-team opportunities to display his abilities adequately.

Without question, El-Mhanni is endowed with great promise, and he is technically proficient. He is a player who will provide Leeds with flair, creativity, and invention – he could prove to be an intriguing option for the Whites.
