Having finally announced that Marcelo Bielsa as the club’s new manager, Leeds United are expected to be active in the transfer window as the Argentine looks to establish a squad that can challenge for promotion to the Premier League.

As the Yorkshire Evening Post reports, Leeds United interested in Hull City’s Jarrod Bowen. The 21-year-old enjoyed a tremendous season for the Tigers last season, scoring 14 goals in all competitions, and the Whites are allegedly one of several teams who are contemplating signing Bowen from Hull.

At the age of 21, Bowen is blessed with considerable promise and potential, and the Englishman shone last season during his breakthrough season with Hull.  Without question, given Bowen’s age and his relative inexperience, his goal tally is particularly impressive. Furthermore, the promising forward operated in virtually every attacking position imaginable last season, which displays his valued adaptability and versatility.

Bielsa is globally regarded as an astute tactician, and he insists that his players are technically proficient. With this in mind, Leeds’ interest in Bowen is logical. The talented starlet exhibits tremendous capability with the ball at his feet.

In fact, one of Bowen’s most noticeable tendencies is the fact that he’s often fouled. Another criterion that Bielsa demands is that his players are equally confident and capable of fulfilling defensive and attacking responsibilities. Jarrod Bowen is confident when completing his defensive tasks, and he doesn’t shy away from the opportunity to pressurise opposition defenders.

At his age, it’s remarkable that Bowen has testified his ability to thrive in the Championship, and it’s plausible to suggest that he’ll continue to improve and enhance his game over the course of upcoming years. He would be an excellent signing for Leeds.
