1 Red Card, 1 Penalty & 1 Shot On Target – Leeds Can’t Quite March On – Match Stats

|

With Leeds United bouncing back from disappointment in the midweek victory over West Bromwich Albion, this weekend’s Championship fixture saw us given an always lively trip to The Den to face managerless Millwall.

Millwall were certainly up for the game and largely dominated the opening 45 minutes when it came to chances and efforts on target, and unfortunately they made them count. 14 odd minutes into the game Gaetano Berardi was adjudged to have fouled Tom Bradshaw (although the eagle eyed will be questioning whether any contact was actually made!) and with him seeing a straight red card, they doubled the punishment from the penalty spot to open the scoring.

In minute 45 Braddiver had doubled their advantage to make it 2-0, but after the break we came out firing and Ezgjan Alioski scored within a minute of the restart to make it 1-0.

Unfortunately, we ended the game with only one effort actually on goal, so we didn’t manage to get the second, so it’s another of those disappointing days where we have to look at ourselves again.
