Yorkshire Derby Delight As Leeds Return To The Top In Style – Match Stats

|

With the last four games seeing straight victories for manager Marcelo Bielsa’s Leeds United side, we had made up ground after our recent wobbles in the battle for top spot and today’s 2-0 victory over Huddersfield Town proved to be the icing on the cake when it came to our battle with West Bromwich Albion.

There are plenty of games left, but restoring our position in top spot and taking a narrow one point advantage over Slaven Bilic’s boys should be the perfect tonight for fans. Five wins, five clean sheets – what could be better?

Huddersfield Man of the Match...

Jack Harrison

Luke Ayling

Pablo Hernandez

Patrick Bamford

We were quickly off the mark as well, as Luke Ayling helped himself to the opener three minutes into the game and having utterly dominated in our usual fashion, Patrick Bamford made the game largely safe six minutes after the half time restart, all we had to do then was keep the clean sheet, and with them only having two efforts on target across the entire game, 20-year-old goalkeeper Illan Meslier made it two for two in league competition.
