After five years with Stoke City, Bojan Krkic has now been released this summer as a free agent as the club and player agreed to mutually terminate the remainder of his contract and given what Leeds United fans have seen from the player, plenty want him at Elland Road for the coming campaign.
The 28-year-old versatile midfielder arrived at Stoke back in the summer of 2014 for a reported £3million fee and he went on to make over 50 appearances for them, mostly in the Premier League and having fallen out of favour and spent the second half of the 2016/17 campaign out on loan with Mainz and he spent 2017/18 out with Alaves. 2018/19 saw a rebirth of sorts at the Bet365 Stadium and he featured 23 times across all competitions for them.
Stoke City can confirm that @BoKrkic has left the Club by mutual consent.
The Club would like to thank Bojan for his efforts during his five-year spell with the Potters and wish him well for the future.#SCFC 🔴⚪️

With the club confirming his departure this week, plenty of Leeds fans on social media were quite to point out that we should try and get him in through the door to bolster and strengthen our squad. I’m not sure there is a firm link saying we have an interest but you never know.
Must be worth a trial under Bielsa? #LUFC #Bojan https://t.co/PRqV3czf4y

Bojan on a free would be a good signing. Seems like the kind of player Bielsa would get the best out of. #lufc
