The game against Brentford certainly had a lot of talking points come from it and not for the right reasons really.
Whilst getting a late equaliser is always nice we shouldn’t have really been in that position.
Poor refereeing calls and stray headbutts in the dugout caught the eye more and Luke Ayling’s sending off also generated headlines.
It might, though, prove a good thing in the long run.
In recent games, Ayling has looked a little off of the pace and has allowed mistakes to creep in.
He’s been late in some challenges and against the Bees he did have a few times where he was caught out.
Now, though, he is going to have a couple of weeks off before being able to play again and in that time he should be able to rest and get back up to speed.
That, though, is if the player that comes in doesn’t nick his spot.
