Plenty of Leeds United fans raged over the news that centre forward Jean-Kevin Augustin has picked up an injury and will miss the rest of the season.

BBC Sport journalist Adam Pope posted on Twitter that he was awaiting details of the Frenchman’s knock that he picked up in training while he was being assessed, but the Elland Road faithful already feared the worst.

It was later revealed that he sustained a hamstring injury and that he would take no further part in the 2019/20 campaign and the Whites’ promotion push.

Will Augustin kick a ball again for Leeds this season?

Yes, of course

Yes, of course

Probably not!

Probably not!

Leeds are on the brink of glory with just nine games to play, as they sit top of the Championship with a point in it between themselves and West Bromwich Albion.

With this in mind, supporters were not impressed with Augustin’s fitness update and made their feelings clear on social media. One fan said that he was a “waste of money”, while another stated that he has “legs made of Weetabix”.
