A lot of Leeds United supporters have graciously admitted that their side were correctly not awarded a penalty in the 1-1 draw with Preston North End.
A video taken by a Leeds fan in the away end shows Tyler Roberts go down in the box in the final few seconds of added time.
The 5,000 plus travelling contingent screamed for a penalty, but the referee was unmoved.
Looking back at the video, it appears that the match officials got this decision spot on – as Ben Pearson, the Preston defensive midfielder, made a superb tackle on Roberts and clearly won the ball.
It would have been a huge injustice on Alex Neil’s side if the referee decided that it was a spot-kick.
A lot of Leeds fans have also accepted that Pearson won the ball, and, though they would have loved a penalty, they recognise that it was not a foul on Roberts.
See the best of the reaction below.
