News: £1.8m rated Leeds man praised for his impact in the last match

|

Marcelo Biela reserved special praise for Stuart Dallas after Leeds’ 1-1 draw with Preston North End.

The Northern Irishman had to play in a central midfield role due to injuries, and his manager thought he played very well, considering that is not usually his position.

The 28-year-old has proven to be an important player for the Whites this season, often playing at right-back due to the absence of Luke Ayling but injuries to Adam Forshaw, Pablo Hernandez, and Jamie Shackleton saw Dallas play alongside Kalvin Phillips and Mateusz Klich.

He was not one of Leeds’s standout players, but perhaps that is a good thing for a man who has never played in central midfield before.

Bielsa claimed that Dallas is getting better as a player every day and that he was delighted with his performance against Preston.

This season the Northern Irishman has made 12 appearances and scored one goal.

Now with the return of Ayling, he has had to perform a new role for his manager, and he did so with minimal fuss.

The result against Preston was disappointing, but it seems that Dallas’ performance is at least one positive Leeds can take from the game.
