Leeds announced that they have struck a deal with the 49ers enterprise group yesterday in what could be a good step forward.
I’ll be honest, I know very little about the NFL but I have heard of the team and I do think that, business-wise, this is a good move.
It’s a minority stake that they are getting and one that should see more cash be made available for us to make a dent in the transfer window.
Andrea Radrizzani is using his contacts with this one, then, as he posted this on Twitter yesterday:
Excited to welcome my friend @JedYork and Paraag at Leeds United. Welcome @49ers to our family …together to make the history of our glorious Club. #family#mot#ambition https://t.co/ePh8nNsSb9

Some good news, then, so let’s take a look at how our fans reacted to the statement from the man in charge:

You could announce Richard Branson as the new investor, doesn’t mean you’ll spend the money on the team does it. #timeforaction

The Verdict
Radz has had some issues at times during his tenure in charge and we’ve given him stick but he does deserve credit for what looks a shrewd deal.
I’ve been impressed by the work he has done in recent weeks and I’m genuinely intrigued to see what else is in the pipeline.
