You can never accuse Leeds United of being dull, can you?
With reports emerging this morning that Anderlecht are interested in signing forward Kemar Roofe, Leeds fans were sent into a panic. After the initial rush of worry, attention then turned to who the club would bring in to replace the 26-year-old should the deal be completed.
They have though been linked with 19-year-old Inter forward Facundo Colidio. If they are interested in bringing him in though, they’ll have to hurry up with less than a week left in the window.
Colidio hasn’t made much of an impact at senior level, however his record in the youth team has been rather impressive, a goal every three games in the Inter academy. The club faces competition from Newcastle United to sign the Italian, but given Mike Ashley’s recent financial troubles, I don’t think he’ll quite have the money to compete with Leeds. And given how United aren’t exactly rolling in it themselves, that’s saying something.
Some Leeds fans weren’t exactly too happy with being linked with him, mainly because they haven’t heard of him.
Facundo Colidio currently playing at inter Milan… Was linked last night the same time Roofe speculation started… Don’t know who he is and I’m not confident an unknown can come and make the type of impact we need.#lufc

Totally agree… Way to much risk involved at that price.

We need two strikers anyway and now we are going to sell our best one and probably bring in two unknowns, hilarious

If Leeds going to spend money this type of signing what Rads likes a player Bielsa can grow and develop who might be worth big money down line

Although there were a few who seemed to be knowledgeable on the matter and weren’t as disappointed as the fans above. Although when you’re facing losing your top scorer, you’d be happy with anyone.
He be better than roofe

Facundo Colidio is a great name for a striker, got a feeling more coming in before the deadline, would love Dwight Gayle

Roofe can go as long as a replacement is coming. I would like someone proven but I would imagine Colidio will be the replacement.

That would be a top signing, real wonderkid there. Doubt it’ll happen though.
