Therefore, there is understandably major concern at Elland Road about what will happen to the remainder of the campaign, with owner Andrea Radrizzani making it clear on Twitter that he would not support cancelling the rest of the season – as has been done in France.

Despite that, there doesn’t seem to be the same feelings coming from The Hawthorns, with The Athletic revealing that Albion are ‘calm’ about the possibility of playing in the Championship again next season. The report explains how they understand this is a very tough situation and they also feel they are in a sound position financially and with their squad, which would allow them to flourish in the years to come.
