It’s that time of the year again, where supporters begin to dream about potential glory, excitement is brewing, and the transfer market is in full flow. Having confirmed the appointment of Marcelo Bielsa as their new manager, Leeds United are expected to be active participants in the transfer window, and the Whites could turn towards the Premier League champions for possible recruits.

According to the Sun, Leeds United are eyeing up loan deals for four Manchester City players. It’s a remarkable story, but Bielsa does have a healthy relationship with Pep Guardiola, and the latter revealed that the Argentine manager is one of his main influencers. The four players that Leeds hold a reported interest in are Angus Gunn, Tosin Adarabioyo, Brahim Diaz and Lukas Nmecha.

The Whites’ pursuit of another goalkeeper has been widely publicised, and that ambition has been heightened following the recent departure of Felix Wiedwald. Angus Gunn could prove to be an adequate successor to the German goalkeeper, the 22-year-old is an excellent shot stopper, especially from close-range.

Tosin Adarabioyo is widely considered as one of Manchester City’s most promising young players, and the 20-year-old has already attained seven first-team appearances for the Citizens. Brahim Díaz is another prospect who is held in high esteem. The 18-year-old featured relatively often for the Premier League champions last season, attaining ten appearances in all competitions. He is highly regarded for his creativity and technicality.

Last, but not least, is Lukas Nmecha. The German forward made two appearances for City last season, and he even scored a penalty on his debut in their shootout triumph against Leicester City in the EFL Cup. Moreover, the 18-year-old had an excellent campaign for City’s youth team contributing towards 22 goals in 19 appearances – scoring 20 and registering two assists. All four players would be attractive options for Leeds.
