Celebrating our 99th birthday yesterday, a number of former players sent in videos to mark the occasion and the Leeds United social media team were happy to share them with fans to get the blood pumping.
With Robert Snodgrass featuring, and even the one and only James Milner, the day wouldn’t have been complete had fans not heard from one particular legend, and Lucas Radebe didn’t disappoint.
Beyond grateful to have been part of the 99 years of greatness in which Leeds United has existed! 🍻#MyLeeds100 #2ndHome #MOT pic.twitter.com/HzZ9uuVl9Q

The South African was with us for just over a decade, arriving in September 1994 and departing in May 2005, and the now 49-year-old made well over 200 appearances for us in that time and was more than welcomed into the hearts of fans – a place I assume he occupies even within those that have never seen him play.
Reactions to his own social media message were predictable but still made for good reading.
Legend! MOT

There are plenty more comments if you want to click on Radebe’s original Tweet above and read them all – it’s certainly not too late to leave your own message if you know how to!
