Plenty of discussion has orientated around Leeds United this week after the controversial equaliser scored in the latter stages of the weekend’s 1-1 draw with Nottingham Forest.
Rivals fans were not happy with Kemar Roofe’s goal, where he appeared to be guilty of a handball, and things got worse for Forest on Tuesday evening as they were knocked out of the EFL Cup by Burton Albion.
The League One side won 3-2 against Aitor Karanka’s men and it is fair to say Leeds fans on social media enjoyed the result, as they quickly took to Twitter to mock their Forest counterparts – pointing out that teams have continued to struggle this season after facing the Peacocks.
Leeds will be looking to bounce back to winning ways this weekend against Wigan, having already exited the EFL Cup this season, but, despite the risk of a setback in that fixture, they enjoyed mocking Forest’s defeat.
