With the fallout and the disappointment continuing from Tuesday evening’s Championship defeat for Leeds United as we travelled to Loftus Road to face Queens Park Rangers, eyes slowly begin turning to Friday night’s clash with fellow high flying West Bromwich Albion.
Leeds missed the opportunity to go back to the top of the second tier table in our midweek clash, and it was our game in hand on both Norwich City and Sheffield United, but with a two point gap to the Canaries – the battle for promotion and the automatic spots is far from over with so many points left to play for.
Friday’s clash will be key though as we look to keep the pressure on and we don’t want head coach Darren Moore’s side to close the four point gap we have over them.
Discussing the game on social media, fans want to see manager Marcelo Bielsa made two key changes to his starting XI for the tie after a few poor performances, and whilst calls for Jack Clarke will be dictated by the medical staff, Jamie Shackleton is well within the remit.
God I hope Clark is back for Friday. And start Shackleton #lufc

Shackleton has to start for me, and definitely need to work on set pieces never mind defending them #LUFC

Would be good to see Shackleton and Davies given a chance at full backs – neither affected by recent malaise which has rocked confidence of Douglas and Ayling #lufc

Fuming at how we bottled it tonight. Lacking energy and clinical finishing. Never want to single out players but for energy alone, Shackleton needs to be starting games now #lufc

Seriously need Shackleton in the midfield against West Brom . The lad is like Lewis Cook the way he moves his speed, bit more attacking than Cook too . Hope Bielsa switches it up a bit but I don't think he will. Hopefully results go our way and we catch another break . #lufc

Very quick turn around for WBA now, how would you change the team. Would bring Shackleton in for Klich personally. #LUFC
