The topic of on loan Chelsea midfielder Izzy Brown is becoming a bit of a debate for some Leeds United fans as despite now getting regular Under 23 outings as he continues to build his fitness after his lengthy spell with injury on the sidelines, he again misses out on manager Marcelo Bielsa’s starting XI for this weekend’s clash with Bolton Wanderers.
The 22-year-old has now featured on the bench a couple of times for Bielsa, and the expectation is he’ll take a place on it again this Saturday but with regular praise going his way when featuring for Carlos Corberan’s side, plenty are now coming round to the idea that Bielsa just doesn’t fancy him as a player.
Especially as it’s now believed we are paying his wages given his first team involvement.
Yorkshire Evening Post journalist Phil Hay Tweeted out from Thursday’s press conference.
Bielsa says Izzy Brown is making "constantly positive steps". "We have to link his improvement to the needs of the team to see when he will start a game." #lufc

That can be read both ways, but with the injuries we have, personally I think if Bielsa didn’t like him now we’ve seen him in the flesh, he wouldn’t be on the bench – but time will tell.
Phil called it – doesn’t fancy him as player – pointless signing

But he is fit! Just have to see how he breezes through the u23 games! Call me a cynic but there must be some other reason he is not playing! Chelsea pulling strings maybe! We need him now, especially with Roofe injured ????

Brown- another v poor signing. Whether they're perm or loan they've been generally disappointing under Victor

Definitely more to this than meets the eye. You nailed it Phil when you said Bielsa isn't sold on him. Should have sent him back in January.

As I have said all along won’t play more then 6 games, biggest waste of everything #lufc

I wouldn’t be surprised if he just cancels the loan and heads back. Wasting his and Leeds time being there if he isn’t playing

Injury happens over a year ago and has been playing reserves for nearly 3 months… aye he’s not ready. No point him being here. pic.twitter.com/HyGYUoxMHi

Don't get the impression he's a fan ????

It must be said plenty disagree with that and feel it’ll only be a matter of time before we finally start seeing more of him.
