Leeds United currently lead the way in the Championship but Marcelo Bielsa’s side need further improvements after losing their last three consecutive matches across all competitions.
Another stern test awaits on Friday evening against fellow promotion-chasers Derby County and the general consensus is that new signings are needed in January to help the Peacocks maintain their push for a return to the Premier League.
However, 10 days into the window, Leeds’ business in the market so far has been outgoing and that, along with a vast amount of injury problems, have left the Peacocks squad looking rather thin – and comments from Bielsa have raised concerns.
Speaking about the possibility of signing new players, Bielsa admitted his squad lacks numbers but added he will only pursue new additions if they are better than the current options at his disposal – which suggests that it could be a quiet month at Elland Road.
That led to a variety of reactions on social media and we have gathered some of the comments from supporters below.
That’s a new way of saying “we ain’t getting anyone” brill.

We worried in the summer and look how that has gone. Is there any evidence (beyond 3 last results) that we should lose faith? Tighten up against set pieces and improve our conversion rate. Easily said, but that’s it isn’t it? #lufc

If the club want promotion they have to get this sorted quick. Simple.

Let’s put it this way, if we don’t spend and don’t get some quality and we don’t get promotion then there will be riots at elland road

The problem we have is that the poachers will come again if promotion isn’t achieved. Imagine our best players gone and a premiership team wanting Bielsa. In our centenary year in our position now, we have to gamble a little on strengthening the team. And i think we will MOT

Cant solve the problem if you have not got the tools

There is no way that there aren’t players out there than can improve this team. We’re decimated.
