We are already Professional Development League North champions, but Carlos Corberan’s young Whites side are not at the end of the road just yet.

Our Under 23s were also in action on Monday night, facing off against Ipswich Town’s best youth offering, who travelled to Elland Road only to leave on the back of a 3-0 thrashing.

Among the scorers in West Yorkshire were Clarke Oduor, Gaetano Berardi and Ryan Edmondson, while Kamil Miazek was rarely tested at the other end of the pitch.

It was a rare sight to see Berardi notch his name on the scoresheet, and his efforts did not go amiss on social media, either, even though he featured for less than a half of football.

Thankfully his withdrawal was not due to yet another injury, but purely tactical, with the £675k-rated defender expected to be named on the bench when the first-team face Preston North End on Tuesday.
