Leeds United’s summer signing, Willy Gnonto has made it into FourFourTwo’s list of the 50 most exciting teenagers in world football.

The 19-year-old, who signed on deadline day has been gaining attention for his stand-out performances for the Whites this season. The forward has excelled in the first team in recent weeks and scored his first Leeds United goal last night in the 2-2 draw with West Ham United. He also holds the record of being the Italian national team’s youngest-ever goalscorer.

His dribbling skills, pace on the ball and ability to pick out a pass, clearly shows Leeds have bagged a youngster with massive potential and he surely has a bright future in West Yorkshire.

As per LeedsLive, Gnonto makes it into the list at number 38, above the likes of Manchester City’s Rico Lewis, a player who is well-liked by the City boss and his recent performances have kept Joao Cancelo out of Pep Guardiola’s side. Gnonto is also listed above Manchester United youngster Shola Shoretire, Borussia Dortmund’s Jamie Bynoe-Gittens and Arsenal’s Marquinhos. Three players who have excelled so far and made a huge impact at their clubs in relatively short careers.

It’s hard to believe he was the fourth choice in the striker options behind Cody Gakpo, Charles De Ketelaere and Bamba Dieng when Marsch was searching for a forward as transfer deadline day loomed. Marsch himself admitted that Gnonto was a while away from being ready for the Premier League, but the youngster has taken his chance with both hands and it will be very exciting to watch him develop at Elland Road.

If he carries on this way, by the end of the season he could be much higher on that list.
