Leeds United fans have been able to enjoy most of the season so far as the Whites mount a realistic promotion challenge, but supporters on social media are growing in concern that Marcelo Bielsa has a fatal issue with the squad.
Tuesday night’s clash at Loftus Road could have seen the Elland Road men move back atop the table, though defeat to Queens Park Rangers means we head into Friday’s clash with West Bromwich Albion chasing a win just to get back inside the top two.
With very little turn around between the two games, fans will have to hope the players can step up to the task at hand through their own desires rather than what Bielsa can orchestrate on the training pitches, as there is a growing surge from the stands that the Argentine has run out of ideas.
When we fell behind to QPR on Tuesday, the players kept plugging away trying to draw back level to at least gain a point, but their efforts failed to produce and the slim chances we mustered went begging – the Patrick Bamford chance in the 78th minute in particular springs to mind.
In fact, following Luke Freeman’s goal in the 49th minute, the 14 men to represent the Whites could only manage to create five shots altogether, and only two of those found their way to the target if not the net, per WhoScored.
The lack of a ‘Plan B’ was just one aspect these fans picked out on social media following the defeat…
No plan B……partly down to Bielsa but also down to no investment. Third year in a Row AR has shown his intention. It’s not over…..the others will drop points too but it’s the lack of momentum and ideas that worry me #lufc

Izzy Brown should have been sent off too shouldn’t he! ???????? No idea why Bielsa brought on 2 full backs before him though. #LUFC

Another classic showcase of no plan B from bielsa. A midfield player for a full back, out of ideas #LUFC

Goes back to the point I was making last night about Bielsa small squad, intense training routine, players coming back from injury 2 soon not fully fit and watching last night that team was out of ideas and knackered been around long enough to know how brutal this league is

Sorry Bielsa but you got it wrong tonight! It was an ideal game for Brown! And yes the team looked lethargic especially with minutes to go and they were slowly passing it across the defence! Lacked ideas and didnt look interested! Running out of games now for a top 2 finish.

And it’s not just about taking chances, our entire play was pitiful. They had far better chances than us

Them 4 plus ayling are embarrassing, and bielsa has ran out of ideas with no squad to play with

Bielsa has run out of ideas, the players he has are simply not good enough.Douglas doesn’t want to be here, Izzy was brought on too late. Roberts is poor Alioski tries but isnt good enough

No point on #bielsa spying on #QPR it’s not like we have an idea what we will / should be doin #QPRLEE
