Wolverhampton Wanderers’ fans weren’t best pleased when we announced the capture of Barry Douglas, especially for a fee believed to be in the region of £3million.
Fanstastic start to the season and a great atmospehere for my debut in a Leeds shirt 🙌🏼 but it is only one game, it’s important we all don’t get ahead of ourselves so let’s take it game by game always learning and see what we can achieve together #LUFC #MOT #BD3 pic.twitter.com/Z5KCRnOQ0f

His assists for them as they ran to Premier League promotion and the Championship title last season told their own story and the 28-year-old was making his competitive Elland Road bow in the weekend’s opening clash against Stoke City.
One game in for the Scottish international and he already has one assist to his name.
The player himself took to social media following the game to talk about his delight at how his first game for us went and he called on fans to continue taking it ‘game by game’ and not get too carried away from the get-go, but some certainly won’t listen to that with optimism and hope in the air.
We have to see how good of an unbeaten run we can go on first but we all know there will be hiccups along the way.
For Douglas, he’s certainly sending the right message to further win fans over and that’s exactly how many reacted.
