There’s a real sense of concern about our transfer window right now and the club is actually doing little to allay those fears.
We’ve been linked with a whole host of players and yet we’ve not actually managed to get nearly any of them over the line so far.
Kyle Bartley, too, seemed like one of the most likely with Luke Ayling going on holiday with him this summer and we’ve still somehow managed to bodge it up – as per John Percy:
On a more positive note for West Brom, talks are advanced with Swansea over a move for defender Kyle Bartley. A £3.5m deal could happen before the weekend #wba #swans

The Verdict
Bartley surely loved playing here and we had Ayling on the case yet it looks as though he’s going to West Brom – and on the cheap too.
Why aren’t we just making a bid? Surely, we’ve got the cash and it suggests to me that Marcelo Bielsa just doesn’t want him.
I know he’s a world-renowned coach but, even so, I hope he’s got a plan in mind here.
