According to Gazzetta di Modena – via Sport Witness – Jerry Mbakogu could still be a Leeds United player with things apparently coming to a ‘decisive’ stage.
Over the weekend we saw that the striker’s name was still being bandied around concerning our club and, today, it looks as though things are coming to a head.
Certainly, it’s evident that the forward will be on his way from current club Carpi with the report saying that he will not report for pre-season training this Wednesday.
Mbakogu, then, will be leaving the side before too long it seems but it remains to be seen whether it’s Leeds who do eventually sign him up.
Carpi apparently still feel a deal can be sorted whilst this end things seem a little more quiet to say the least.
It really seems anyone’s guess at the moment as to what’s going to happen but my hunch is that he’ll leave them but not join us.
