The transfer window is not long away and that is perhaps the only thing that I am excited about at the moment.
The Whites have been well below-par since the turn of the year and as we limp to the finishing line it is clear that we need a massive overhaul of our squad.
With that said, then, Victor Orta has a lot to do to redeem himself and I think the first few weeks of the window could prove crucial.
Meanwhile, we need to decide whether we keep the likes of Pierre-Michel Lasogga with Phil Hay probably suggesting he wouldn’t in his latest column:
Leeds United column – what next for Pierre-Michel Lasogga, the striker dubbed the ‘flop of the century’ at Hamburg:https://t.co/JolXGma8eC

Let’s take a look at what has been said in light of that, then…
I woudnt say hes flop of the century. Definitely no Chris Wood

no, the flop of the century at Hamburg (not Leeds). That’s what Hamburg’s money-man called him.

The most technically gifted centre forward in the division who we should have built a team around. However he's been failed by a poor manager having no faith and trying to appease fans

Ability to run quite important

Send him back

I’ve stuck up for Lasogga over the season, as you say in the article he is a very good finisher, but probably agree we shouldn’t make him permanent now.

And it all started so promisingly at home to Burton in the sun. Little did we know that at that time they were probably one of the few teams that were worse than us.

The Verdict
For me, personally, I think it’s the right decision to let the big German go back to Hamburg.
At times he’s looked a powerful and strong figure but most of the time he has looked disinterested and I have to say that there are better out there.
They’ll be a case of ‘what if’ with him, but I’m not too fussed about that.
Thoughts, Whites? Let me know!
