Kemar Roofe scored a second half hat-trick for Leeds United to ensure they came away from the capital with three points.
Roofe scored twice in five minutes just past the hour for Leeds to put them in control of the game and despite a bizarre goal from Pawel Wszolek in the final minute, Roofe then went on to complete his hat-trick.
A tepid game sprung to life just past the hour when a fine ball into the middle by Ezgjan Alioski found Roofe who headed past Alex Smithies in the Rangers goal.
Roofe fired home his second of the game five minutes later and once again, it was a tantalising cross from Pawel Cibicki that found Roofe and he made no mistake as he fired home.
Rangers were given an unlikely lifeline in the final minute when Leeds keeper Felix Wiedwald misjudged Wszolek`s ball into the penalty area, allowing the ball to bounce over him and into the net.
Leeds hit straight back and Roofe found space in the area before firing past Smithies to complete his hat-trick.
